Wang Yixi hails from the vibrant city of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. In 2024, she successfully earned her Bachelor's degree in Bioscience from Shenzhen University, marking a significant milestone. Right after undergraduate graduation, she set her sights on further academic pursuits and joined the Li Lab at the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, CAS for her Master of Science studies.
Her research focus zeroes in on devising and advancing special medical purpose foods tailored to metabolic diseases. With an upbeat, sunny disposition, she's a helpful soul in the lab, eager to collaborate with colleagues to elevate the Li Lab.
Her life aspiration is to remain a perpetual thinker and skeptic—someone who never ceases to question and explore. In her leisure time, her curiosity spans diverse fields, with particular interests in biology, medicine, psychology, and art.
Within psychology, she is drawn to researching personality development and intimate relationships, while in art, her focus lies in graphic design and industrial craftsmanship. She admires painters Claude Monet and William Morris, whose works have made seminal contributions to integrating art into daily life. Driven by her academic passions, she maintains a habit of reading extensively and visiting exhibitions regularly.
Beyond these pursuits, her greatest delight revolves around food. She approaches all things culinary with enthusiasm—whether experimenting in the kitchen or delving into food science research, she finds profound joy in the intersection of taste, creativity, and scientific inquiry.
