Li Jinhui grew up in Anyue, known as the “Hometown of Lemons” and the “Land of Stone Carvings”, in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. She completed her undergraduate studies in Preclinical Medicine at Southern Medical University, earning a Bachelor of Medicine degree. Subsequently, she went to the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, CAS and joined Li Lab to pursue her PhD studies in 2025.
She is interested in studying the molecular mechanisms of diseases that affect human health, particularly metabolic diseases, including insulin resistance and MASH and so on. However, she is not limited to research in a single discipline but is passionate about interdisciplinary approaches to solve research problems. Although she is a reserved person, she is one who enjoys trying new things, bravely explores, and pushes herself beyond limits. And she is also willing to help others and is good at listening. At times, she is also quite persistent. When faced with a concept she does not fully grasp, she adheres to a simple principle: to dig deep, consult literature, seek guidance from her peers and mentors, and leave no stone unturned until she achieves a thorough understanding.
In her daily life, she has broad hobbies, including traveling, hiking, eating hot pot, shopping with friends, playing table tennis, knitting, and more.
