Wu Menghua hails from Lishui, Zhejiang Province, a city renowned for its picturesque landscapes. In 2025, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Engineering from Dalian University of Technology. Driven by her passion for nutrition and health and a desire for self-improvement, she joined the Li Lab at the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health to pursue a Master of Science in Biology and Medicine.

Her research focuses on evaluating the functional properties and application potential of food-derived peptides, with the aspiration to grow into a researcher and developer in the field of functional foods.

A warm-hearted optimist, Wu pursues diverse hobbies including painting, ukulele playing and handicrafts, finding tranquility and fulfillment in these creative processes. Constantly exploring new passions like dancing and kalimba playing, she maintains an insatiable curiosity and enthusiasm for novel experiences. 

In her leisure time, she particularly enjoys shopping, savoring diverse cuisines, and engaging in casual conversations with friends. Occasionally, she enjoys cooking herself—her signature dishes being butter garlic prawns and lemon chicken feet.
